OUR STORY

Let's go back into 2020. This year has brought so many exciting news in our life. we welcomeour first child, I greduated with my ECE diploma and then pandamic hit. since I was greduated from ECE I started looking for work. Fortunaitly, I have got a job in daycare. One day I saw my boss , she was making a mask for us. so, i went and talk to here and express my love of sewing to her and guess what? in 2021 she gave me her sewing machine. I was over the moon as sewing machine always been a huge part of my childhood.

I always wanted to make my daughter's clothes so I started making her clothes and saw it to my coworker, all of sudden she said , why don't you start your own handmade clothing business. I did not take that seriously but somehow that hit me so deep. I started making some scrunchies and took that to my work and I was sold out. 

after that i shared this incidence with my boss and she offer me to dispaly my handmade sctunchies in farmers market we are doing at my daycare. I got so much love and support from my co-worker and local people who encourage me to do what I am doing and Sijon was born.

Meet The Maker

Hi! I am Jyoti. I am the founder and maker of Sijon Handcrafted. By profession I am ECE and holds the master degree in Physics but first of all I call my self an artist. Sewing has been a part of my life since my childhood. This all started by making dolls clothes and then it conveted into making my own clothes. With time I taught myself so many skills like hand embroidery, mirror work, knitting and that learning process made me so curious to educate my self more and more during my schooling. I used to make clothes for my teachers and neighbour. Passion for sewing has been always there. I love vintage style and the vibe of that style of clothing. At Sijon, you are going to find fusion of vintage and indian style of clothing. I can not wait to see you all wearing my handmade clothing and accessories.
